SJA at the Safety and Health Expo
As the Health and Safety Executive
prepares to change the first aid at work regulations – for the
first time in 25 years – do you know how it will affect
you and what your company will need to do to comply?
St John Ambulance
experts are available at The Safety and Health Expo
at the Birmingham NEC (11-14 May) to help you deal with your
responsibilities in this area.
The nation’s leading first aid and health and
safety organisation has close contact with the HSE and is
at the forefront of communicating these changes to
make sure companies get the right information at the right time.
The changes won’t be fully published or come into effect until 1
October, but St John Ambulance is encouraging businesses to
plan now, review their risk assessment and use their
impartial advice to guide them through the process.
Jon Cunningham, Commercial Director at St
John Ambulance, said: ‘From 1 October, businesses will be expected
to have made appropriate provision for the new first aid at work
regulations. We know this can be daunting which is why we’ve got
experts available now and throughout the change period to give
clear, concise advice about how companies can comply with these new
regulations. We want to take the worry out of the
process and make the transition to the new regulations as
smooth and straightforward as possible.’
Expert advice can be found at the St John
Ambulance stand during the show or by calling 08700 10
49 50. For those who can’t attend the show the
organisation is encouraging you to sign up for updates by e-newsletter for the latest information on HSE
regulations and much more.
If you've used your first aid skills at work then St John
Ambulance would love to hear from
you.
