Carers of Children Support Programme

St John Ambulance Dorset provides a
support programme for parent/carers of children to
help people in a caring role.
The programme is led, developed and delivered by an experienced
registered nurse, accredited by The Royal College of
Nursing and supported by Dorset County Council.
Is this for you?
- Do you care for a child who is physically and/or learning
disabled, including autism and ADHD?
- Would you like the opportunity to gain more skills and
knowledge to help you in your caring role?
- Would you like training in basic first aid, managing
challenging behaviour, stress management and safer moving and
handling?
- Would you like the opportunity to meet other carers, share
experiences, advice and ideas?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions then St
John Ambulance Dorset can help!
When and where?
The programme is delivered at various locations
throughout Dorset during four morning
sessions over four consecutive weeks followed by a buffet
lunch.
Extra course dates, locations and times could be scheduled to
suit your needs.
