HR Administration Manager
About the Role
As a HR Administration Manager, you will lead and develop a national shared service centre for all HR administration and people data for St John Ambulance's 35,000 volunteers, young people and employees throughout their journey with the organisation.
You will manage and lead the HR Administration shared services centre and constantly review & improve administration processes to ensure they are user friendly, effective in their outcomes and comply with SJA policies and procedures. As an effective HR administration shared services manager, you will lead a team of administrators through team leaders as well as Data and Systems Coordinators and help create, maintain and drive a culture of personal ownership of data throughout the organisation. You will also be a member of the HR Leadership team where you will contribute to the wider people agenda across the whole organisation.
This role is an important role in the HR leadership team and manages our HR administration centre, so you must have prior experience managing an effective shared services function, ideally working in a HR environment as well as translating customer feedback into meaningful improvements.
The HR administration is the first point of contact for many of our prospective employees, volunteers and young people so you must will also be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to your internal customers as well as developing and leading a productive and efficient shared services function.
St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, providing first aid, keeping people safe at events and working alongside the NHS in response to 999 calls. Much of our front-line delivery is provided by our dedicated and highly-trained volunteers.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people, many of them under 18, also learn how to save a life through our training, education and youth programmes.
